Assessment and Internal verification policy
Autism Support Consultancy will ensure that assessment of any learner’s suitability will be applied equitably and consistently. Assessment will test understanding of the course material relevant to the aims and outcomes of the programme. It will be designed to measure students at the appropriate level. Efficient mechanisms will be in place for feedback to students.
All records of assessment will be kept securely by the course assessor and be made available only to others with an interest in the progress of the learner. A record of learner achievement will be notified to the internal verifier in the form of a spreadsheet which will be updated regularly to review progress. One internal verifier will be allocated to each assessor. The verifier will ensure that standards are maintained and that assessors are updated. This will be part of the CPD training for both assessors and verifier.
Internal quality assurance is a major ASC’s drive to ensure consistently high quality autism training. Training material is thoroughly researched, going through a rigorous checking procedure to ensure that content is correct and up to date. Feedback is sought from delegates to ensure that course material is of sufficient quality.
All members of the team at ASC are responsible for Internal Quality Assurance. All of the staff at ASC are sufficiently qualified and knowledgeable about the subject area, in order to both assess the quality, as well as to deliver the seminars. Our internal quality insurance also involves:
1)Monitoring the quality of decisions regarding course material.
2) Monitoring the consistency of standards across different seminars and e learning.
3) ensuring that internal quality assurance files are organised and maintained.
